What if I told you that this is not snow on the ground?
Would you believe me?! I'll tell you what it is later in my blog!
Since my last post we said goodbye to Sucre by walking up to the recoletta and watching the sunset.
I felt sad to go because I loved it there. it was fun to walk everywhere and I loved our apartment. I got to share a room with Lulu and the tv had Netflix! I also really really really really really really miss Paradiso bakery.
The next day we drove to Potosí. I felt really car sick the whole way. We didn't really do anything in Potosí. The next day we drove to the Uyuni Salt Flats. The hotel there was made out of salt!! Even the floors, bed, and bedside table were made out of salt, but not the hammocks!
And of course Baker decided to lick the walls and we all said ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww Baker!
The next day we drove on to the salt flats. It was my favorite kind of driving because it was flat, straight, and not that bumpy. The salt flats are white and some parts are shaped like hexagons. I felt calm and happy to be somewhere so special.
We took some funny photos!!!!!!!!! Then we had lunch in the middle of nowhere...literally.
Then we drove to Incahuasi island. The island is made out of coral because the salt flats were once under the sea. We hiked to the top. Me and Baker thought it should be called Cactus island because it tis covered with cacti that are so tall. Incahuasi means Inca home which is a good name too.
I also had dinners with daddy every night. The little kids went to bed before dinner was served so it was just me and daddy. My two favorite parts were:
1: Hanging out with daddy!!
2: The yummy soups!
So what's that in the first photo? It's SALT!!!!!!!!!
Love, Ginny
