Hello friends! This past weekend, we spent in Uruguay! It was also Daddy's birthday! First we rode a ferry from Buenos Aries to Colonia, Uruguay. The ferry was fancier than our ferries back home. You couldn't go out side and there were two floors. (Excluding the car floor.) The ride was only a hour across a river. Our guide named Anna picked us up and took us on a walking tour of Colonia. On the tour we walked through the old city. The streets were all rocks and moss.

It was really pretty and there was a beach with lots of sea glass. There was also a light house but you had to be at least 12 to go up to the top.

After that we rented an amazing golf cart to drive around the city. It was basically the funnest day of my entire life. This is a photo of us sitting on the Colonia sign. I am on the A because it is in my name.

The next day we drove almost 5 hours to Montevideo. Montevideo is the capital city of Uruguay. The drive was totally worth it though. Once we go there Mommy and Daddy took us to the beach. The next day it was Daddy's birthday! Auntie Leah sent us a very yummy chocolate cake. It made me feel happy that Auntie Leah sent us a cake for daddy's 40th birthday!

We spent the whole day on the beach. I made lots of food for mommy and daddy out of sand. I made them rice pudding, cupcakes, and pancakes that didn't turn out. It was even funner than the first day because it was daddy's birthday and there was more time to explore and play. I thought it was pretty funny that Baker and Lulu decided to make fishing rods out of things they found on the beach.
Later we took the ferry home and mommy made us questionnaires. Here's my favorite one!!

When we finally got back to Buenos Aires, I barely made it to my bed before conking out! I spent the next day relaxing with tea and my kindle.

I love Buenos Aires but of course miss all of you.

I really miss you too and hope you come back soon! I finally made some time to read this.😪Elodie
What a fun way to celebrate daddy's birthday! How did Aunt Leah figure out the cake delivery? She's pretty smart! Love you, Munga
Sounds amazing, Ginny! Why didn't your sandcakes turn out? I'm guessing you had the sandpan at the right temperature and used plenty of sandbutter. Maybe you left the spandula at the hotel and had a hard time flipping them? I bet that was it. Thanks for sharing more of your adventures. Happy birthday, Ry! -Uncle Kelly
Woo wooooo! Country number 6 was super fun! I loved watching you play on the beach. You have such a beautiful imagination!!
