Hello friends! We just returned home from Iguazu falls, the waterfall that has the most water of all waterfalls!
That's only a small part of it! Can you guess how many water falls are in Iguazu falls? l'll let you know later in my blog!
Last Friday flew on a plane to Iguazu falls. There we relaxed by the pool and the best part was that we got Mango, Banana, and orange juice smoothies! The next morning we drove to see THE Iguazu falls😲! We rode a train to the trail head and hiked out on to a balcony that was basically over the water fall. I felt the wet mist on my face and it made me calm. On the ride back we met this guy who we call our long lost cousin. His name is Joseph Ryan Burke and daddy's name is Ryan Joseph Rourke, and Joe grew up on Mercer Island just like me, Baker, Lulu, and Mama!
It was fun to bump in to someone who spoke our language. He also had a really cool camera on a stick that I am adding to my Christmas list now! (literally). Later that night we went out to tacos. I got a grilled onion, chicken, and cooked pepper taco.
This is me and daddy sharing an Oreo milkshake for dessert! The next day we went to the Brazil side of Iguazu. If I have't mentioned Iguazu is really hot and humid. It was 95 degrees Fahrenheit. First we had to cross the border from Argentina to Brazil. There was a line so that took a while but atleast l had my Nintendo! Once we had crossed, we drove to the park entrance and took a bus the rest of the way. We hiked down to the falls and pushed out on to the crowded boardwalk and guess who we ran in to? Cousin Joe!!!!!!!!!
Also this butterfly landed on my hat! I thought if it stayed on my hat, I could keep it as a pet, but then I saw it fly away. The falls looked a lot bigger on the Brazil side. We got soooooo wet walking on the boardwalk but honestly I liked it because it was super hot!
This is a picture of some of the falls from the Brazil side. Do you want to guess how many there are? There are 275 waterfalls!! After lunch I had a very yummy chocolate donut! That was the first donut I've had since we left home! Then we rode on the top of a double decker bus to get out of the park. I loved seeing the view from up high!
Next we visited the bird park! Half the birds there were rescued from wildlife trafficking. I am glad they got rescued and get to live happily. We got to be in a sanctuary with parakeets! The parakeets were really cute. One kept coming closer to us and we had to back away because the rule is don't touch the animals.
I also got to take a ton of cute little pictures with wings of different animals. Here I am as a monarch butterfly!
Then we flew back to Buenos Aires. I was very happy to be back. Today I got a super cool Boca Junior jersey and shorts for the game this weekend! And I got one for Kira, my American girl doll. I am very excited for the Boca game because it's my first ever soccer game!
Farewell friends! I love and miss you all. Ginny!!!!!!
In that last photo, you really look like a 🦋! Love, Elodie
Have a blast at the soccer game! I wonder if there's a long-lost cousin Ginny you'll run into on your trip. Maybe their name will be Finny Angle-Smorke? With siblings named Flaker and Blu-blu? Thanks again for all your stories and insights. Love, Uncle Kelly
