Now that we're in Buenos Aires, I'm the happiest I've been on this whole trip. I love cities and there is so much to do and see. I love that we are in an apartment that is more like a house. My bed here feels like home because it is cushiony so when I fall asleep I feel like I'm at home. Our first day here we went on the hop on hop off bus. It is a bus where you have a ticket for 24 hours and you can get on and off as many times as you want. We took several stops but my favorite one of all was la Puente de la Mujer.
I liked this bridge because it means Bridge of the woman, and I like women because I am one, and so are my friends. Here is me and daddy walking on the bridge. The ground of the bridge is made out of recycled plastic bottles!!! Yay!!!!!!
We also visited the Museo Prohibo No Tocar, which means museum prohibited not to touch. It is a play on words because it is filled with buttons and things to touch! We pressed a ton of buttons that activated something strange like a thunderstorm on the wall or making bubbles appear out of a tube. There was also a room of mirrors!!!
One room had a target with a bubble wand thing in front of it and another target on the other side of the room. When I spoke into the bubble wand, daddy could hear me all the way at the other target!!! And when I put my ear to the bubble wand I could hear daddy!!!!!!!
Another day we walked to the most beautiful bookstore called El Ateneo. It is inside of an old theater!!! It felt special to be in such an old place. It was really different from the bookstore on Mercer Island because it was HUGE three stories of books, books, books, books, books, books, aaaaaaaaaaaand more books!!!! But I still love Island Books the most.
Even though most of the books were in Spanish we still found some activity and coloring books!! Yesterday we went to el Jardin Japones. We took the city bus there. We didn't know where the bus stop was but we could see our bus so we chased it until it stopped and we got on. The garden was beautiful. I loved all the miniature trees with kitty ornaments hanging off them. I also loved that it was calm and peaceful and there were koi in the water.
Next, we had SUSHI in the Japanese Garden!!!!!! I haven't had sushi in THREE MONTHS!!! Usually I eat it at least once a week. Here is what is looked like at the beginning
and then at the end. I don't like tomatoes.
It was the best thing in the world!!! We are going to Uruguay this weekend for daddy's birthday!!! I am really excited because we are going to take a ferry to get there and there are beaches and sunshine!!!!!
I miss you all a lot and I hope school is going okay for everyone!
BYEEEEEEEEEEEE Ginny
The Museo Prohibo No Tocar looks so fun. I want to go too!
Elodie
You are a fantastic tour guide! I love that you found something in the bookstore, I'm curious if those activity and coloring books are different than the ones you would find in the USA. Also, why is the bridge called Bridge of the Woman? Great name ;)
Olive says she wish she could go to that book store too!
So happy you enjoy Buenos Aires and that you finally have your sushi!
Love you, Munga
