A few days ago it was the first day of spring. No no no I don't mean fall I mean spring. In the southern hemisphere we have opposite sessions. So we're technically 2 seasons and 4 hours ahead of you😜. Also yesterday was day 100 of our trip! It has flown by so fast!
After we returned from Iguazu, Lulu drew this picture of the sisters waterfall we saw. Isn't it the cutest thing in the world?????
She says the one on the right is me and the one on the left is her. Sooooooo cute!
Later we walked to Solo Deportes to buy Boca Juniors jerseys. Boca Juniors is an Argentinian soccer team that plays other Argentinian teams. Me and Baker also got shorts. My American girl doll Kira, also got a jersey but it was too big for her so I tied it back in to a dress. Mine is also too big for me so I use it for a night gown.
When we got back I called Frankie. This is us waiting for her to answer. We were excited to talk to our friend! The next day all we could think about was the Boca game. To distract our minds we took a bus to The Galileo Galilee planetarium to see a kids show on planets.
This is me in front of the planetarium! The show was in that dome part. My favorite parts were the scary parts like when we went into a blackhole.
FINALLY we drove to the Boca game. Our seats were in the nose bleeds because we got them last minute but we actually got such a great view! Here is me and Kira walking to our seats!
It was almost halftime when both teams each scored a goal. After that no one scored a goal so it ended up as a tie. I was really hoping that Boca would win. Did you know that Boca was Argentina's best team last year?
This is our family photo in front of the Boca stadium. The game was really loud in a good way! Everyone was rooting for Boca and sometimes we could catch on to the songs. I think one was about a head and an empanada?
The next day we went to a natural reserve by the river. It was really pretty. Probably the prettiest part of town! We saw lots of birds and a creature that looked like a beaver but it had a really stubby tail.
There was also a beach, but it was closed. The reserve made me feel relaxed because it was reminded me of Seattle. After that we went out to pizza at the Italica restaurant! It was SO SO SO yummy. If you ever go there definitely order an orange lemonade. (Trust me). Tomorrow we are sadly leaving Buenos Aires. I am feeling really sad because I love it here. It felt like home for the past weeks. Most of all I will miss the ice cream place downstairs from our apartment. And I will miss our apartment. Next we are going to warm São Paulo Brazil. The only bummer is that they speak Portuguese and we don't.
Adios mis amigos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ginny
At school, we got to go to a planetarium too. Hope you're having tons and tons of fun! The drawing that Lulu made was soo adorable!
Have fun in Sao Paulo! The Brazilians there really like pizza…so maybe you’ll find some more there. It’s one of the South American cities I have visited and I remember it being very big and urban!
Hi Ginny! You seem like the best big sister ever! Lulu is very lucky to have you!
